Professor Amy Shi-Nash

Founding Council Member, The AI Values Institute

Professor Amy Shi-Nash is Professor of AI Practice at Monash University and a Founding Council Member of The AI Values Institute. An experienced executive, entrepreneur and board member, she contributes expertise in enterprise AI, data strategy and organisational transformation, helping advance the Institute's work on sustainable and commercially meaningful AI value.

With more than twenty-five years of leadership experience, Amy has held senior executive roles at organisations including Tabcorp, NAB, HSBC, Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Singtel's DataSpark. Her work focuses on translating AI and data capabilities into measurable commercial outcomes, particularly within large organisations and highly regulated industries.

Amy's research and advisory work emphasise the importance of organisational readiness, leadership, culture and adoption in determining whether AI initiatives deliver value beyond technical implementation. She also supports deep-tech innovation, entrepreneurship and the responsible commercialisation of intellectual property. She appears as a guest on The AI Values Podcast, where she explores the leadership challenges surrounding AI value creation.
